Social Security Hospital
The main teaching hospital attached with IMDC is the Punjab Employees Social Security Institute Hospital located in I -12 Islamabad. This 300 bedded hospital started functioning in 1998 with both indoor and out door facilities. It is spread over 50 Kanals area and has 14 wards and 3 small units. Social Security Hospital is a referral center for 18 Social Secuity Dispensaries from 4 main districts of Attock, Jehlum, Chakwal and Rawalpindi and also the capital Islamabad. It provides services for more than 1.5 million secured workers and their families completely free of cost. IMDC has signed a 10 year irrevocable contract with Social Security Department.
The hospital provides excellent environment and facilities for clinical training of the IMDC students. With access to state of the art facilities and renowned faculty the students are exposed to one of the best clinical training in all fields of patient care. Seminar rooms for each clinical discipline is available. The hospital has undergone expansion and up gradation program in 2009. This include the following:
