Department of Community Medicine
Community Medicine focuses on the Primary Health Care, Health system research analysis, as well as Reproductive health, Occupational health and Disaster Management. Field visits are arranged from 1st year up to 4th year so that the students have a practical knowledge of the Health systems of Pakistan especially the Primary and Secondary Health care systems, like BHU and RHC. The subject includes medical writing and questionnaire formulation /development, data collection, compilation and presentation. The subject has a holistic approach regarding Preventive medicine as well as Research methodology. Community medicine is being taught in an integrated style, thus this subject comprises of Community oriented medical education, Community based learning and Problem based learning.
