Department of Gynaecology & Obstetrics
The department of obstetrics & Gynaecology is headed by Prof. Dr. Khalida Waheed and includes 2 associate professor, 2 assistant professor and 2 senior registrars. The department features a faculty with extensive teaching experience both the under-graduate and post-graduate levels. The faculty is also involved in organizing courses and examination with overseas organizations such a the Royal College of Obstetrician & Gynaecologists. Their clinical interests span secondary and tertiary obstetrical care, gynecological oncology, infertility, Public Health Obstetrics & Gynaecology and medical education. Medical students come to the hospital for integrated teaching for undergraduates. There are two lecture hall with provision of multimedia. The library is adjacent to the lecture hall and is fully equipped with IT facilities. Monthly Perimatalogy and maternal mortality meeting and weekly clinicopathological conference is conducted along with the students.
